First Day of School (Kinder Day is 8:10-11:20 am & Kinder Assessment will be 11:40-2:40 by appointment)

We are excited to start our 3rd year of FULL DAY Kindergarten in D45! Kindergarten students will attend school from 8:10-11:20 am on Wednesday, August 14th, 15th and 16th. During the first three days, students will rotate to each Kinder classroom and begin to learn what it looks like and feels like to be a student at Schafer Elementary School. Students will be introduced to school and classroom routines, Specials, recess, and lunch.

The afternoons on Wednesday and Thursday (11:40-2:40) will be used for teachers to assess students. All students need to sign up for a 20-minute assessment time. Confirmation emails will be sent to remind families of when students need to return for assessment.

Classroom assignments will be completed on Friday by the Kindergarten team. Parents will be notified as soon as the rosters are complete. FULL DAYS begin on Monday, August 19th.
