The Schafer Sharks proudly celebrated the 100th day of school on January 28th! Classrooms were buzzing with excitement as students marked this special milestone, reflecting on how much they’ve learned and grown since the first day. The school was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of creative energy as everyone embraced the fun of being 100 days smarter.
Students in the lower elementary grades and our STARS programs participated in a variety of engaging, number-100 themed activities. From math challenges centered around counting and grouping to 100, to reading and writing activities highlighting learning goals, students explored the number in meaningful and hands-on ways. Kindergarten students added an extra layer of creativity in their “100 Days Smarter” crown they wore proudly on their heads throughout the school day.
One of the highlights of the day was the imaginative dress-up fun. Lower elementary students embraced the theme by dressing up as 100-year-olds, complete with glasses, canes, and gray hair. Kindergarten students and their teachers went all out, dressing as if they were truly 100 years older, much to the delight of the entire school community.
The celebration was a wonderful reminder of how far our Schafer Sharks have come and how excited they are to keep learning. With curiosity, creativity, and community spirit on full display, it’s clear that we really are 100 days smarter here at Schafer Elementary! 🦈🎉
