Band

Prep Band

Prep Band is for all students in their first year of playing a band instrument. Students learn assembly, care and cleaning, proper posture/embouchure/sticking, basic technique, terminology, and musical concepts. Performances include the Introductory Concert and Spring Concert.

Prep Band rehearses every Tuesday at Jefferson from 3:20-4:15 pm. Lessons happen once a week in school on a rotating basis.

Intermediate Band

Intermediate Band is for students in their second year of playing.  The focus of this class is to continue learning technique, musicality, terminology, and playing as a full ensemble.  Performances for Intermediate Band include the Winter Concert, Solo & Ensemble Festival, and the Spring Concert.

Intermediate Band rehearses every Thursday after school from 3:20-4:15 pm at Jefferson.  Lessons happen once a week in school on a rotating schedule.

Orchestra

Prep Orchestra

Prep Orchestra is for all students in their first year of playing an orchestra instrument. Students learn assembly, care and cleaning, bowing, plucking, proper posture, basic technique, terminology and musical concepts. Performances include the introductory Demonstration Concert and the Spring Concert.

Prep Orchestra rehearses every Tuesday at Jefferson from 3:20-4:15 PM.

Lessons happen once a week during school time on a rotating basis.

Intermediate Orchestra

Intermediate Orchestra meets after school on Thursdays from 3:20 – 4:15 PM at Jefferson Middle School.

Students also receive one lesson during the school day each week.
