Michelle Mascheri
Mrs. Mascheri is one of our veteran sharks and is our art teacher at Schafer! She also runs Schafer’s Artsonia program.
Mrs. Mascheri shares that her favorite part about being in education is when she introduces something new to her students and questions come pouring out of their brains!! It’s her favorite part because she gets to answer all those questions!!! When she thinks about her own school experience, she shares that her favorite teacher was John Nester. He inspired her to be a teacher in the Arts!!! If she could choose one teacher’s class to enroll in for a day, she would choose Miss Holman’s for sure! She never had a good experience in music class as a kid.
Mrs. Mascheri wants our Sharks to know to be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Her wish for the 2023-24 school year is that her students leave the art room loving art just a bit more than when they came in!

Corbyn Holman
Ms. Holman is one of our veteran sharks and is our music teacher at Schafer. She is also one of Schafer’s Talent Show Advisors.
Ms. Holman shares that her favorite part about being in education is seeing the kids smiling faces. Ms. Holman wants our Sharks to know to be yourself. Her wish for the 2023-24 school year is for each child to leave her class with a love of music.

Jennifer Bay
Mrs. Bay is a veteran shark and is our LRC Specialist at Schafer.
Mrs. Bay shares that her favorite part about being in education are the kids and our Schafer Staff! They are the best!
When she thinks about her own school experience, she shares that her favorite teacher was her 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Bondi. She was always someone Mrs. Bay could go back and talk to. They stayed in touch for many years and she even came to her wedding.
Her wish for the 2023-24 school year is that we all learn something new and have fun while doing it!

Rachel Schwarz
Mrs. Schwarz is a veteran shark, however this year she is coming back home to Schafer after spending years as the LRC Specialist at York Center. Previously, she worked in the STARS program at Schafer. This year she will be the Schafer Library Teacher.
Mrs. Schwarz shares that her favorite part about being in education is making connections with the students 🙂 Her wish for the 2023-24 school year is to get to know the students better and have each one find a book they are excited to read.
