On Dec. 22, students and staff of Schafer Elementary’s STARS program prepared a donation to The Outreach House as part of the program’s Community Outing service project.
During the event, students and staff combined holiday fun and giving by rotating through four stations, including a service station where students helped fill bags with toiletry items to donate, a sensory station where they made squish balls with balloons and beans, a craft station where they completed an art project, and a hot cocoa station where they sipped on the warm delight for added festive fun!
Toiletry items to be donated were collected through a drive held during the month. Students and staff filled 35 bags with a toothbrush, comb, shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, deodorant and lotion. Way to have fun while giving back to the community Sharks!
